TRAVELERS MUST HAVE PROPER TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

For international travel, excluding cruises that begin at and return to the same U.S. port, U.S. CITIZENS MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT. For cruises that begin at and return to the same U.S. port, U.S. CITIZENS must have a VALID PASSPORT or government-issued birth certificate and unexpired, government-issued photo ID for guests ages 16 and older. A current school/student ID with picture is typically an acceptable form of photo ID for guests ages 16 and 17; however, guests are ultimately responsible for ensuring current rules and regulations for travel.

Traveling with Minors: When traveling with a minor where one parent or both parents or legal guardians are not cruising, we strongly recommend bringing an original signed letter from the absent parent(s) or legal guardians authorizing the minor to travel with you. If there is no second parent with legal claims to the minor (due to sole custody, deceased, etc.) other relevant paperwork, such as court decision, death certificate, birth certificate naming only one parent, would be useful to bring in place of a signed letter. This will expedite processing by the Department of Homeland Security.

Travel Cancellation Insurance

I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance due to the vendor's very strict cancellation policies. This is to confirm that you are aware of the cancellation penalties as described on this page and that travel insurance is available for purchase to protect against cancellation penalties due to unforeseen MEDICAL (and sometimes other covered) reasons.

Further, please be aware that none of the reported pricing includes Travel Protection.

Please note that Royal and private 3rd party policies are also available, and that your cruise planner is abl to quote and sell policies from Travel Insured International.

Also be advised that your cruise planner is not an insurance agent, and will not be responsible for your experience with either Royal's Travel Protection, nor any other company/policy should you choose to purchase a policy.
